DOCUMENTATION OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE IN THE AEPC LOGBOOK

AEPC Logbook for trainees (October 2021)

The logbook is a tool for the trainee and trainer to keep track of the progress of the trainee. It is the responsibility of the trainee to record all relevant activities.

 

In countries where national guidelines exist, the trainee might maintain a national equivalent to the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology logbook.

SUBMISSION OF THE LOGBOOK FOR CERTIFICATION

  • Documentation of the training in the AEPC Logbook, approved & signed by the head of the training centre.
  • Trainees: after completion of 3 years of training in Paediatric Cardiology (latest 18 months after passing the exam).           
  • Paediatric Cardiologists: 1 year before and after the exam.

The logbook can be submitted via the website. Only those who have participated in the exam will be able to submit their logbook through their profile. If you have issues with submitting your logbook, please send it by email to office@aepc.org

EVALUATION OF THE LOGBOOK

A final evaluation of the logbook will take place every 3 months with a submission deadline for the logbook 3 months ahead.

The evaluation deadlines are the following:

  • Evaluation by 1 Dec 2023 – submit by 30 Aug 2023
  • Evaluation by 1 Mar 2024 – submit by 30 Nov 2023
  • Evaluation by 1 Jun 2024 – submit by 28 Feb 2024

 The results will be shared with the participant within few weeks following the evaluation dates.
